What documents are commonly needed for customs clearance?
Most shipments need a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and a transport document (bill of lading or air waybill), plus importer or exporter registration details. Some goods need extra permits or certificates. Sea imports into Egypt also require pre-registration on the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system to obtain an ACID number before shipping. We review your documents before the cargo arrives.
When should I choose sea freight instead of air freight?
Sea freight is usually the most economical option for large, heavy or non-urgent cargo. Air freight costs more but is much faster, which suits urgent, high-value or perishable goods. We compare both for your shipment and recommend the best fit.
How do I request a quote for an international shipment?
Use the quote form on this page or message us on WhatsApp. Share the origin, destination, cargo type, approximate weight or volume and, if known, the delivery terms (Incoterms) agreed with your supplier.
Do customs requirements vary by cargo category?
Yes. Food, medical products, electronics, chemicals and other categories may need specific approvals, inspections or certificates. Duties also depend on the product’s HS code. Tell us what you are shipping and we will explain what applies.
How long does customs clearance take?
It depends on the completeness of your documents, the type of goods and whether inspection is required. Having correct documents ready before arrival is the best way to avoid delays — that is exactly what our pre-arrival review is for.
